Let the flip flopping begin from both sides!!!!!
Before the last election, I believe Corona said, "People actually believe that gas prices are going to go to 5 dollars a gallon under Biden. And everyone on here laughed.
Well, it did. Gas prices more than doubled under Biden. It was $2.39 under Trump, and went to over $5 in June of 2022. Of course the blame was placed on Russia, just like everything else. Not on canceled oil, gas leases and the cancelation of the Keystone Pipeline. He restricted oil production. Within hours of being elected he put a moratorium on drilling permits and made it impossible to get offshore leases. Gas Prices averaged 40 percent more under Biden than Trump.
Of course, Biden emptied all the oil reserves which were plentiful under Trump to try and keep it down due to the optics. Bidenomics at its best. They even changed the meaning of Recession.
Like it or not, Biden was the one steering energy policy during a time of elevated energy costs across the board. While he can’t be blamed for things outside of his control, he can be blamed for failing to act. He did nothing just like when his message to Iran was a laughable "Don't" followed by another failure to act when they did.
So, I find it so funny when you have people saying it it Trump's fault the gas prices went up 50 cents, but it was never Biden's that they doubled. It is pure hypocrisy. Secondly, I will guarantee, gas prices will end up much lower than Biden's term as Trump will actually act. Of course, the same liberals will say it was Biden that lowered the gas. There was not one peep from any liberal on here about the gas prices after the election. Now, all of a sudden here come the comments because it went up 2 days later.
And for the comments that they are better under democrats, than why under Biden and Obama were prices higher than under Bush and Trump? I can already tell you what their answer will be. Maybe the real answer is that Bush and Trump are pro oil? Secondly, they also don't like the United States having to rely on anyone else, and sit and blame Russia for higher prices across the board.
