I was just thinking what if El Paso is the new Cape Canaveral? El Paso the new hub for space travel??

37 LETTERS OF SUPPORT FOR $5M FEDERAL GRANT FOR DECK PLAZA, ALL ADDRESSED TO ESCOBAR

"The application claims the project is a “priority for the people of El Paso” because it will “physically reconnect Downtown and Uptown El Paso, de-emphasize the current vehicular-centric environment, and facilitate all modes of travel, especially for pedestrians, cyclists, and public transit users.”

Apparently, this is a much higher priority than fixing our streets or lowering our taxes."

This is the "It doesn't fit!!" argument when the ballpark was proposed years back. Once built, the nay sayers changed their perspective. Second, street and lowering taxes comments are misdirected.

"Wiwynn Corp. is investing millions of dollars and will bring more than 500 “high-paying jobs” to the City of Socorro, the City announced on Tuesday, June 3.

The Taiwanese company, a global leader in cloud infrastructure, will establish a new manufacturing and testing facility at the Socorro Logistics Center, 9220 Socorro Road"

Once tourists find out about this painting of OLG, they will come here in droves to drive by low-income housing. HUGE!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just because you don't consider it to be a big deal doesn't mean it's not . Not everyone thinks like nowins.

A religious painting next to low-income housing is a big deal? This is making money for who exactly?
Who knows maybe the new Pope will see it and then will want to visit El Paso. Then when the Pope visits he could eat at Leo's new restaurant. Now who sounds dumb,??? 😒 😒

Only time I will agree with him.

I like the idea. I like the Deck Parks in Boston and Dallas. I like the High Line in New York.

No, it’s not going to make money. Yes it’s going to expensive.

But I am down for anything that improves the city and our way of life
