I know Nevada beat British Columbia by 50 points or so.

They beat them twice. First by 19 points and then by 50 points. Nevada won the MW last year and had 26 wins, but lost their two leaders scorers. They are far ahead of UTEP right now in winning and recruiting. Lets hope that changes soon. FYI Letcher-Ellis from Rice (Recruited by CTF) is at Nevada now and will sit out this year.
