The ladies were back on their ""A" game. They played very well overall, but Arkansas St does have an excellent team so it was a close game. The Miner defense clamped down at the end. Officiating was poor again with some very questionable calls that went against the Miners. Sparkle Taylor was the key tonight. She was hitting her free throw line jump shots and grabbing offensive rebounds. She won the game for us tonight. Dombrowloska hit a big shot at the end of the game and the Miners ran a great inbounds play where Jenzel Nash through the ball into Dombrowloska and Nash cut straight to the basket and got the pass for an uncontested layup. Great win for the ladies and now have TCU at home on Thursday. Go Miners!
Really good game. Second time all season that Miner TV didn't cut off with a few seconds still on the clock (including men's games). Got to see it all the way thru. Nice effort by the ladies. As mikesarabia said, a couple key baskets late were the difference maker in this one.
Showed a lot more offensive spark than in the ACU game. If they can hit the occasional outside shot with consistency they are really tough. They play great defense and can get down the court fast. The are a fun team to watch and I love their hustle and toughness. Tickets are cheap 10 bucks no reason not to watch if you can.
