That is why I avoid winding mountain roads at night if at all possible. Especially if there's bad weather. The road up to Cloudcroft scares me and I have driven up there at night in a snow storm God Bless the young man.

Even during the day you have to be cautious driving on winding mountainous roads, especially with blind corners. Look at how many people drive like maniacs on Trans Mountain or through the Anthony Gap, especially at night. There have been several deaths on the Anthony Gap because people do not follow the lane markers at night. They end up trying to pass a vehicle in a no passing zone and they don’t see oncoming traffic because it’s hilly.
