Possible AD

Thanks for all of the input. I am curious what WE at UTEP have to offer him in the form of incentives to leave a nice successful program after only three years. Is it the overwhelming challenge that he faces and welcomes and/or a whopping monetary boost...or what?
I certainly don't have any candidates to recommend or tout.

Yeah come on guys. You don’t fire a coach 4 games into his EIGHTH year. Duh.....

He will be making more money here. He was making less than $200k.

So what you're saying is that your comment was not an honest reflection of your thoughts and opinions on UTEP Sports, but rather a purposeful attempt to solicit a negative reaction from the other posters of the board. Like a troll? Despite my frustration with your constant support of Floyd, I always thought those were your legit thoughts. And you honestly thought Floyd would eventually get us back to the NCAA Tournament. Guess not.

you totally misunderstood what i said....Those are my legit thoughts on floyd... I am saying I dont know anything about Senter... the possible new athletic director

That is the definition of a troll- saying something with the sole purpose for igniting a response.
 
I know it sounds bad, but I hope Floyd has some more embarrassing non-conference losses to make the decision easier. It's not like the losses will matter in the grand scheme of things.
 
Remember Purplefire was a coach, and I know I have never met a coach that ever said he deserved to be fired, or of any other coach. They always had those great excuses: Next year, they did not give me enough time, that player did not pan out, but we have fill in the names coming in, we play in a really tough conference.
You will never get Purplefire to ever say Floyd should be fired. He is as delusional as any other losing coach I have ever known. This is a coach defending another coach.

Where did Purplefire coach?
 
When (if) Senter is introduced as the new AD, he is going to have to use PC language to a certain extent. But once the mbb season nears the end, if Floyd doesn't have this team at or near the top of the conference, I'll be very disappointed if Floyd isn't canned. I like this AD hire but I won't expect miracles or to have everything go exactly as I want it.

I agree MIW. He's not going to come out and say, Floyd is gone unless we make the NCAAs. Let's see who we can get for fball coach. Too bad, nothing is official yet.

Along with the AD announcement, I was hoping we would hear about the major Sun Bowl renovations that Stull was rumored to have been working on for a number of years. I had heard he was hoping to make that project his final one prior to retiring. Let's hope that is still the case.

Probably will end up in Senter's lap. If you were a big booster would you want to give money to Stull before or during this football Season?? He probably fell way short. That's why we haven't heard anything about it.
