1,5 million buy out for Utep if Golding if bolts.
With early exit fees from the Sun Belt schools.
Utep will have money to get a good coach.

In retrospect we should have been the ones gladly paying tu-ausrin to take him off our handsGlad he learned his lesson after letting Terry walk away for free.

Naw he was under contract until 2024. Senter gave him a secret extension for doing nothing. Was he still under contract?? Didn't he only have like 1 year left?
Speaking of secret extensions, did Senter ever end up extending Dimel? I seem to recall that was in the works way back during the bowl game.Naw he was under contract until 2024. Senter gave him a secret extension for doing nothing.
Most likely going to need Deaver to do an open records request to find that out. Once he's done reporting fake news and all.Speaking of secret extensions, did Senter ever end up extending Dimel? I seem to recall that was in the works way back during the bowl game.

Terry took a demotion and significant pay cut to leave UTEP. And people wonder why some are paranoid Golding would take the first ticket out of EP.But in all honesty, who would think that a head coach would leave for an assistant position? I can’t really fault that there wasn’t a buy out for that.
It was certainly a demotion, which made it a surprise, but didn't he get a little bit of a raise to go to UT? Still, most coaches would think that the best way to bigger head coaching job would be to be successful at your current head coaching job. The fact that he left makes me wonder if Terry realized that he wasn't going to get the job done here, and would therefore have zero shot at a bigger shot if he had stayed.Terry took a demotion and significant pay cut to leave UTEP. You may be right. If you jump ship before you get fired you avoid the “you got fired” label. It was certainly a demotion, which made it a surprise, but didn't he get a little bit of a raise to go to UT? His contract at UT pays him 500k. I think he was making 750k at UTEP.It was certainly a demotion, which made it a surprise, but didn't he get a little bit of a raise to go to UT? He got good enough recruits to win CUSA. His coaching is poor.He was probably swinging for the fences on recruits (Jalen Green) and kept striking out. There is no way he could get the next KD to UTEP, and I love UTEP but I got face the hand we are dealt. So I am sure that had something to to with it.
I can't help but wonder how this season would have unfolded if B-Dub had stayed, given that we increased our win total to 20 without him.He got good enough recruits to win CUSA. His coaching is poor.
