I am not so sure that Willms nor Buddah would make a difference on this team. Both are too skinny to bang inside with the big men we have been playing. Truth be told, our players for the last 6 seasons (with the exception of Hunter) don't look as athletic when compared to every other team we have played. The same could be said for football too. Is it time to find a new strength and conditioning coach?
Another thing, I agree with the post that said "when we have guards we need big men and when we have big me we need guards". This means that whomever is recruiting doesn't really have a plan or else were they really thinking that paper thin Willms and goofy Vint were the answer this season? I am impressed with what Menzies does at NMSU, which in my opinion is a harder place to recruit to than UTEP. He seems to get great and athletic talent each season and is never lacking a position. I am through with MBB. I will keep going to the games and watching them when they are on TV but I have zero expectations.
