I'm afraid no news is bad news in this situation. The kid has Wichita State and Northern Iowa in his ear. Stiff competition for his services.
Sad we cant sign an average to slightly above average player. Hopefully, Kelvin Jones is good next season.
I hope you're right. We could use this guy's propensity to defend and rebound. Definitely could play a big role on this team.

According to Rivals, the Miners have offered him a scholarship, but so has Murray St, Nebraska Omaha, and Coastal Carolina. UTEP has been his only official visit. All four schools are rated "High" interest.

Also he is not in the top 50 in rebounding. i do like what I saw in his high school videos not so much the JUCO ones. I think he could help for sure. You have to wonder he averaged 8.1 minutes per game in 31 games played. Weird...

No we're not where do u get your info? He has about 18 or 19 D1 offers! And more coming, I'll give you better recruiting sites if you need em let me know!
I got that clarified thought the same thing. That's in accurate he averaged 25 minutes a game.
In another thread, MinerInWisconsin posted the above. Bol lead the nation in blocks as a freshman, so you are correct. I did not notice it stated when he was a freshman. Still pretty impressive.
I hope you are right about him coming. I think he can help for sure. We don't need a scorer (we have those) we just need a guy that can alter shots.
Maryland, Iowa State were interested but never offered but those are two good schools. I also want to say that I read he had committed to Nebraska in high school but backed out or DNQ.
I saw the same list as mikesarabi on rivals. I should have said only substantial offer. I cant imagine hime signing with Coastal, Omaha, or Murray State. I dont think Wichita State, UNI or Iowa State will offer. I think he will end up here.

Bol told an Iowa State reporter during his visit to Ames that among his offers Wichita State and Murray State were the two he was leaning towards.
Thank you for clearing that up, rivals and espn show no offer so its confusing.
Yeah 247 shows Wichita and Murray St. Offers, but I hear Utep is looking good to land him
Again, I would be thrilled if your source turns out to be in the know and we land him.
natty, I'm sure you would've said something if you heard anything more on Bol, but I gotta ask anyway. Any other word on the guy and/or our chances to land him?
Haven't heard anything since the initial positive report on him, which scares me. Some schools seem to be coming on late, but there's still a couple of weeks til official commitments can be made, so still hoping the report I got early still applies
