Must have mentally checked out early in the year. Bad last year too but no where near as bad as this.
What amazes me, is that Metz was not that bad. This year he just looks really bad. I feel for the players, they are out there fighting. Today might be a really bad whoopin.
That's not what setting back the team 10 years back means. It means this team is gonna be 10 years in the hole before getting things in track. Which may be an exaggeration depending on the coach, I'd say 4 or 5 years though. Kugler was a really bad hire and we're paying for it.
Wait, but if UTEP pays $1 million for a coach (because they can and just choose not to) there will be a quick turnaround and we will win a bowl game in no time.

Thats embarrassing. It would have even been funnier if they said Chip Kelly was originally coming to UTEP but UTEP went with Eric Price instead.
You may be right but the Miners were horrible from 1971 thru 1985. I mean really horrible. An unknown coach (at least in the southwest) named Bob Stull came in and won 4 games his first year and then proceeded to have 2 winning seasons and a bowl appearance before moving on to Missouri. He did it by bringing in some transfers along with the freshmen he recruited. The right coach can turn this team around pretty quickly.

I also remember Herbstreit personally coming down to interview Price once or twice during the peak of Price's tenure.
Since we live in a linear time world we can't predict the future. This was a bad season but it's not the end.
