Yes, that is a good example, although technically Dalton never played in the Big 12. He only played at TCU when they were in the MWC:

Goes both ways. Colin Kapaernick was down to UTEP and Nevada. UTEP fell in love with Trevor Vittatoe from then Texas HS power Euless Trinity who ran a Kugler type power run game and the rest is history.

One unspoken of Miner who was down to UTEP and OU was Oniel Cousins (Ravens, Browns & Bucs now a F.A.) who chose UTEP. He was orginally a Nord recruit who stayed on with Price. He was a forgotten UTEP gem recruit during Nords final year.
