I will keep that in mind Filiutep. I would much rather post about Chuy's Tex Mex or better yet what Tim Floyds favorite TV show is and whether he prefers decaf or regular. (Or if his office is always open). Way better topics on a basketball and football board. Thanks for the input. Better yet just don't read my posts.

I like the info too tucson_miner. Really enjoy the recent threads on recruiting. Lots of info and very rarely derailed.
As far as recruiting news goes, Tucson has been right on top of it. Fact of the matter is right now UTEP recruiting news only consists of guys we are after going elsewhere. I am sure he would be thrilled to post one of our top targets signed here. I am aprreciative of the info.

Coach Floyd is not going to waste another schollie on a player that he believes is questionable.
In the past 5 years he took some gables that didn't pay off so he might just hold on to that
schollie in case a good recruit comes up. Coach Floyd has to give the redshirt guys a
chance to prove they can play.

It'd be nice to land a May or summer graduate who could come in and contribute immediately...similar to Connor Tucker. I would imagine that is an option, and something the staff will be looking at.
Options appear to be running out. Hey Tucson? Do you know who's left on the big board and do you know when the late signing period ends?

Thanks Miner Dawgma. Late period ends May 20 but I think transfers can happen well in to the late summer. From what I was told, they are not actively pursuing anyone anymore. I asked about Olin Carter and even he might not be an option now (not positive). Ones that have not yet committed that were once recruited by UTEP, that I am aware of, are Cunningham from ABQ, Kejhan Feagin from Long Beach, Olin Carter from Allen TX, Nick Rutherford (TX), and Melvin Frazier from La (ACT score). Like many have mentioned, I believe that the coaches do not want to sign someone that can not contribute immediately. MY BIGGEST CONCERN is why could/did they not sign at least one of the "GOOD" players that they were recruiting?
I'm sure they were recruiting a LOT of players, some we never heard about. Ever been fishing? You cant catch every fish. Maybe they didn't pursue these guys very hard because they weren't totally sold? Like someone else said, I think we are good for next year.

CTF is not much of a Starbucks kinda guy. In fact he calls it Charbucks because of their tendency to over roast their coffee beans. The rancid oils and acids from said beans contribute to his extreme case of acid reflux and indigestion, which in turn wears and tears on his esophagus. Being that his grandparents and his father were born in EP, he prefers to go to mom and pop shops and keep the money circulating locally, so he's more of a Java Joe's guy. Oh yeah...and he likes his coffee like Haskins liked his starting 5 in the National Championship back in 66.
