Huge loss. I think they promote Co DC Sigler to DC if they are looking to keep some kind of schematic continuity. Wonder how many recruits we lose with him leaving
JJ seemed to really connect with the kids. Hopefully the kids keep rolling in.

Apparently Clark was making $230k, so it's not that far fetched an NFL team can pay him more if they really want him. Also, this is a shot to coach with a NFL team. Likely a dream opportunity for him.
But he just an assistant to a positions coach. Unless they promise him the real job later?
That's a possibility. It's a foot in the door in the NFL. Could lead to even bigger things if it pans out.
But still not a good look for Utep I think. I thought JJ would be head coach in waiting after Walden.
A few years back I remember the UTEP DC left to be the linebacker coach at Florida. They paid him 450k to coach just the linebackers. News flash. All of our football coach are way under paid.
You say this like we can compete with nfl salaries or even the university of Florida.
He's leaving utep for an NFL job. What the hell are you talking about? I think that's pretty cool for utep and for coach Clark.
My point was that nobody should be surprised we can't keep coaches. UTEP needs at least a five million dollar increase in football coaches salaries to be competitive and keep good coaches.
At 230k, he was the highest paid assistant coach. Unless Walden has someone in mind, I think they go with Sigler or Jones.
What are you talking about ???It's not a good look for Utep . He is not even the positions coach he is and assistant to the Linebackers coach. Basically the waterboy. So the waterboy for Cowboys makes more than Coordinator job at Utep. You don't see a problem with that?? 🤔🤔

To each their own. The dude could have aspirations to coach in the NFL and the opportunity presented itself and he jumped on it. Life is too short, always take advantage of opportunities. It’s not a bad look on UTEP.
