Hopefully he's more like Brees and less like Mack Leftwich
Those are just NFL qbs. There's a ton of college qbs under 6ft who had a lot of success.
I've seen him play here in Middle Tennessee and he's a good one that will be competing to start, if not next year the year following, for sure. He's got good mechanics, a strong arm with a quick release, as well as good pocket awareness.

If a team is desperate they will go after a short QB. But I would say 100% coaches would rather have a tall QB. This is basic football 101.
Good competition. The most productive qb should play. May the best man win.

Considering how tall the linemen are in today's game, it makes sense for a quarterback to be at least 6'2”. A quarterback should be able to see over guys that are in the 6'5” to 6'7” range. This makes it easier for them to survey the field and release the ball to the receivers.Jan 14, 2022

So then you haven't talked to an NFL scout? Looks like you read some random BS. There are plenty of QBs that are under those heights in the NFL. Even more in college football. Also, you should have been clued in that this article was BS when it gave you a 5-in spread for the average height.

According to MaxPreps, 18% of NCAA D1-FBS quarterbacks are 6’ and under. That’s a significant percentage, I’d say.
