This slam by Chris Blocker over Iowa's Lohaus was has to be one of the top ten throw downs (go to 38 second mark). IMO, it was one of the greatest because Iowa was loaded back then and they had Lohaus who changed the college game because he was seven footer who played the forward position with great fluidity that was tough to guard instead of traditionally keeping guys like him down low in the paint. UTEP came out aggressive and was easily beating Iowa's constant full court pressure that they were known for back in 87.

Classic Haskins coaching at it's finest.

Good times and good memories.....

Was at that game, a bunch of us went. Had a blast in Tucson. You forget what hustle and swarming defenses we had....

It was Brad Lohaus' 3 point shooting that hurt us, just when it seemed to be going our way!!!

That's what made him so deadly. He was very versatile from any spot on the floor which was uncommon for big men back then. He had good ball control, deadly shooting from any range and spot up with anyone on the floor if need be.
