I remember that sign showing up a lot during my undergrad days. Even asked about it on the NMSU forum.
Season isn’t over, but that was a kick in the Nuts.
UNM hasn't lost a game since NMSU beat them at the Pit. Hopefully this will be the same thing for UTEP (minus any games against NMSU).
The Commissioner of the MWC added UTEP as a desperation move not a value added move. She knew exactly what she was getting and tonight didn’t change much.
Teicher said that this was the quietest sold out game he has witnessed. This was the largest home loss against the Aggies since the 1930's.

In this one bid league, this game won't mean much but it was 100% a must win game for UTEP. Yes, the rivalry is important but even more than that, it was a must win to keep fans coming back. After this pathetic beat down we are going to get our petty 4k crowds and deservedly so.
If we ever get a good crowd, we should start chalking them up as losses. I was going back and forth with people on here about crowd sizes saying this team deserves crowds. I was wrong and am here to eat my words. We'll just have to wait another 10 years for the next sellout.
Getting a sellout then being blown out by a rival? Really? At home? Fans are never going to believe in this team. My cousin and his wife joined me for this game. They're fans and go to a couple games a year. They aren't to my level of fandom but they do support. My cousin's wife told me, "this is why we don't buy season tickets." She's right too. She's smarter than me. I wish I could tell Senter about that story. I wish he would read this.

Also, we have an effing veteran team! All scholarship players that could come back, did. They should be better than this. Hooten has only been there 2 years. I still stand by what I said in another thread about Moccia, controversy aside, he hired way better than we have.

I don't know man. NMSU might have more pack the stadium campaigns since they won the away rivalry games. We shall see though since EP does show up more than LC.
I called it earlier this week. UTEP was going to be UTEP and let us all down and we were gonna get out coached. I’ve been a UTEP fan too long to expect it. Except my guess was NMSU 77, UTEP 74
That’s kind of a stupid post my guy. Utep hasn’t been last place lately and was in the championship game last year. This game was highly disappointing! However this post is ignorant!

The only way this team consistently gets these crowds again is after an NCAA appearance or two. For the football team, bowl appearances.
That type of loss (by 3 pts) would have been better than a blowout.
The football crowds were great over the early part of this season. Was that coming off of a bowl?
The football crowd was great for 1 game. 41.6 for the SUU game. 14.5 for game 2.
UTEP will need to beat Utah St in order to have a good crowd for Martin.
Time for Golding "Bronzing" to go. Can't recruit, can't coach. Plays a gimmick style that when teams figure out, we get destroyed. Can't make adjustments, doesn't teach the team any basic fundamentals. Just this gimmick style where his stubbornness goes against basic basketball fundamentals. Accidental basketball is right. UTEP players not coached up. No handles No proper defensive techniques. No finish. No polish.
Unfortunately, I don't have confidence in senter to make the right move this season. I worry that this season's good start has already won him another season in the eyes of Senter 🤦🏽♂️. But maybe with Wilson having witnessed yesterday's debacle in front of the mwc commissioner, her hand will force Senter. They can see the potential because the fans are their. Senter and his hires have just failed to deliver a winning product.

Please don't over react regarding Golding. Yes it was a bad game but we were on a roll. This team is much improved and let's judge this team at the end of the season.
Yesterday was a disaster. But how many years did Senter manage to bring a crowd for the football home opener only for Dimel to crap the bed. No wonder El Pasoans don’t show up. Every time fans put faith into these teams we get a nice swift kick in the ass. Only the true masochists stick it out.

Golding has been here for 4 years and just got passed by a program that was completely shut down 2 years ago and had to start from nothing. Couldn’t even sweep NMSU last year and will probably get swept this year. That pretty much puts it into perspective on how slow Golding’s progress has been in a pillow fight conference.

My wife asked if we should beat the aggies, my reply we have a better record but have played lousy teams. Golding and Senter schedule them cause they know we are not a quality team. Golding is way over his head and Senter is lazy. The Adam’s hire proves that. Other than Volleyball and the rifle team, what UTEP team has a winning record?

Wilson is no different than Natalicio when it comes to athletics. The useless semi retired AD will be here until they decide to retire. UTEP AD is a pressure free job.
