UTEP vs SHSU: CUSA Tournament

The Miners now sit at 14-14 versus Div1 competition, having lost seven straight games. A loss tomorrow would give us a losing record against Div 1 competition for three straight seasons. We would need two wins (not likely to happen) for a (barely) winning record v Div1 teams. I don't think it's going to happen.

So they kicked Bynum off the team…wow Joe - wow. - fitting end to a fitting season… this season has more to do with people management and that is Golding’s responsibility. Pretty sure we gave Bynum a decent amount of money so already can’t handle finances.-

All coaches think they can change players for the better. But it’s a two way street, and sometimes there are head ons.

I think the refs have mostly gotten it right. I am worried about foul trouble, though. Big Ham hasn't logged any minutes yet.

Liberty will chuck up 3s from practically half court. If they get remotely warm, it will be over for UTEP. Second, Metheny does damage towards late in 2nd. Perimeter D was bad last game and he and Porter smoked UTEP.

Guys made some shots today. The Liberty matchup is tough, but it's winnable because they are also perimeter oriented. However, they shoot way better than SHSU.

Good to see Kalu playing like a four year senior tonight. Good to see Barnes getting out of the slump. Good to see Otis get to 1000 points as a Miner. I don't think we will have many more players do that. Bynum being booted from the team is strange but if he was the reason we've been bad then so be it but I still like him as a player.
