After Walden’s 1st win how many games does Utep win this year. Keeping in mind we now play the bottom half of CUSA I say 3.

I picked 1 because it's the UTEP way...and 0 wasn't an option.
It was cool to see Scotty and our players celebrate this win. The monkey is off their backs. Hope this is the start of more wins this season.
I say 4. We have an easy remaining schedule and the team “found something” last night

LaTech and NMSU are winnable road games, not sure they get both.
Same with the home games. Kennesaw and Middle are both winnable, not sure they get both though.
4 wins would be a great end to the season, especially considering it’s UTEP. 3 is fine too.

The defense seems to improve and the scheme seems to allow the players to make plays, the more comfortable they get with the plan but the offensive scheme has not seemed to improve. This is on the coach, not the players. Lateral passes will not work against these bigger and faster defenses. Running sweeps is also not a good call simply because we don't have the speed to get away from D1 linebackers. I'm just a frustrated fan giving my perspective.
Only little difference is Tennessee isn’t a sub .500 team and we aren’t a 10 win team.
Coach Kill brought in overachieving players. Those players transferred and are now on that Vandy team that helped beat Alabama.
NMSU offense is now eh, but their D is tough but that game is last. Watched NMSU vs LT; La Tech is so damn Helter Skelter and struggle but they will get explosive yards then repeat in struggling. Inefficient team like UTEP.
Houston came to the Sun Bowl when Price was coach, year one or two. The SB was sold out and crowd was great.
Coach Samual brought in NMSU after a fresh major upset of NMSU. Game was or near sell out.
But Walden is no Mike Price.
Those games were along time ago. He shouldn’t be saying we can have a P4 environment here. It’s dumb and far fetched. No environment here will come close to environments for Alabama, Texas, Florida St and other P4 programs. At best it will match SMU vs Duke games and late season Kentucky vs Vanderbilt games.
However, UTEP can actually have one of the best G6 environments. That’s what he should be saying.

I think Walden is kinda like Primetime. Lot of hype first season and not going so well. Primetime turns it around 2 year with his players??
