Time to call it, season is officially over and we need to be looking for a new coach. When color commentators can successfully predict what our offense or defense will run on the next play, time for new coaching.
They never stopped FAU. The whole night, I think they had one punt.
But with no time outs and drive 96 yards for a winning TD is just not acceptable.
I like Kugler, he's a good dude and holds athletes accountable. He makes sure they are in class, he does things the right way. It's a shame that a guy like this can't get us over the hump. I root for him.

I like Coach too, he is honest and personable, but his teams have shown little ability to stop a passing attack or a diverse offense and are just hard to watch from a fan standpoint. His teams hang in games for a time but appear to tire. I don't how many times in the last few years teams have scored on us at the end of the half or game with less than 2:00 to go, but it happens too often.
I agree 100% with this! When they had the eleven point lead, I knew they were going to give up a score on defense, and they did. Then I knew the offense wouldn't be able to run out the clock, and they didn't (play calling too predictable). Then I knew for sure the defense wouldn't get a stop, and they didn't, even with a potential bowl game on the line.
Plain and simple Kugler is not a good coach. He may be a good guy and all that but he can not coach and has fail as a recruiter also. This team has not improved under him with his players and as Prices players leave the team gets worse. If Jones leaves what has he bought in the replace the offense without him.
Don't agree about being Kugler being a bad coach, he has been a position coach in the NFL as well as college. They would have never taken him if he couldn't coach. Being a head coach is a very different animal. A head coach has multiple duties and responsibilities and coaching and play calling are often left to assistants. If they don't do a good job you take the heat. Coach Kugler may have been dumped into the head job too soon or didn't have good assistants (I feel both dynamics are at work here). I feel for him because he bleeds UTEP, is loyal to a fault and even though it doesn't show on the field, the program is clean, kids graduate and he has made an extra effort to bring EP kids into the fold. All positives IMO, but on the field a different story.
