The ladies put up a spirited fight against a tough UTSA squad. GA tickets were $5, and parking was $2 in nearby Glory Road garage. It was a fun atmosphere in old Memorial Gym — definitely going again.
Went to my first UTEP volleyball game today

I was at the FIU @ UTEP game today. The Lady Miners just got swept by FAU on Friday night. Some observations about the fan experience:
1. I thought UTEP changed to Pepsi during the summer. They were selling Pepsi products at the concession stand. But I thought if you are all in with your soda sponsor, you might want to change the signs at all of your facilities. The Coca-Cola signage is still there on the Memorial Gym scoreboards.
2. Why does UTEP Athletics refuse to put up any banners of your fellow C- USA schools like you have on the north end of the Sun Bowl and DHC? I noticed that they have of their current players.
3. They desperately need to install a scoreboard that more than tells you the game points and the length of time out. It should tell the amount of games won with a stat board that tells the player #, kills, and digs.
But it can be used for both basketball and volleyball.

4. They really need to add a video board that is about 1/4 size one- sided since a center court scoreboard cannot be added.
5. Change out the seating especially on court level, add gymnasium seating that is more recent. Example:
