Perhaps we can call this thread, "Where is Lefty?"

Hey @piggy, Mack's height has been pretty well documented by now, don't you think? Not sure if your making a statement or trying to be humorous, but if it's the latter, it's not working with me. Kid's going through a tough stretch right now with health and on-the-field issues, he'll get over it and be a better man for it. But I get a little suspicious of the timing and intentions of people with with 5 posts magically showing up, especially after looking at the themes and content of your prior posts. Just sayin'...

I don't see it as a big deal. So he made a joke that Leftwich is short. It's not like he made a crack about how the kid plays the game. If that's gonna hurt his feelings then maybe he shouldn't be a college QB. Tyrone Swoops got booed by UT fans at DKM. Having a thick skin has to come with the territory.

People made fun of Doug Flutie and Drew Brees's stature throughout their college careers too. They seemed to do OK with it.

Don't let your suspicions of me keep you up at night Coog. We all know Lefty is 5'5'' tall, but appreciating a photo like the one above really puts his lack of size in perspective. If he were 2-1 or 3-0, or at the very least competitive, I would be his biggest fan. But the simple fact is, he is not a legitimate D1 QB. Im convinced he is our starting QB because his daddy is on the staff. At best he is our third or fourth string QB, he has no business starting. Just look at our offensive production with him at the helm. Had he not been injured we would all be on 0-3 suicide watch.

@piggy, I couldn't care less about your football IQ or opinion. Your earlier posts clearly show an agenda. But since you wanna push the issue, I specifically took exception to you posting a questionable picture of Mack Leftowicz, with a smart-ass heading and caption, only hours after he had suffered a significant head injury against NMSU. Not cool. And that was AFTER you referred to him as our "happy meal eating quarterback", again, following his injury in Saturday's game.

That kid represents the school you presumably support and doesn't deserve to be cheap-shotted - especially by someone named "piggy"...

I agree Coog. But message boards make asses out of all of us at times. Here's hoping Leftwich makes a solid recovery. That play actually should have resulted in a helmet to helmet penalty with the Miners keeping the ball and gaining a 15 yard penalty.

In all seriousness, I realize the past is the past and you move on and everyone is back in their happy place after the win, but would the outcomes be different if Metz started against Arkansas and TT? UTEP would have lost them but would the scores be closer? My point is Kugler made a head coaches call and went with Leftwich for obvious reasons, but reports out of spring and fall camps from the past year, from bystanders and media, is that Metz looked really good, poised, good arm, can make the reads, so on and so forth. What criteria did Kugler use to put Metz at #3?

All I hope is that Kugler learns from his obvious stubbornness and if Metz keeps UTEP in the western division CUSA race (which I doubt unless Pope Francis sends a blessing to our secondary via Philly) will he stay with Metz when the doctors clear Leftwich? Oh well, I'll shut up and enjoy the ride for another week.
