DALLAS ā Following the leagueās final regular-season games, the field is set for the 2025 Conference USA Softball Championship. Liberty earned the top seed after ending the year with a 23-3 mark in league play.
The Lady Flames, along with No. 2 WKU (29-19-1, 14-10-1 CUSA) received byes to day two of the tournament on Thursday, May 8. This yearās championship features the top six squads and begins Wednesday at the WKU Softball Complex in Bowling Green, Ky.
The event gets underway Wednesday with No. 3 seed Jax State (34-20, 15-11 CUSA) facing No. 6 seed Sam Houston (27-27, 14-13 CUSA). The Gamecocks swept the Bearkats last weekend in Jacksonville. WKU will face the winner at noon CT Thursday.
The action continues at 2:30 p.m. CT with No. 4 seed LA Tech (30-23, 15-12 CUSA) taking on No. 5 seed NM State (27-25, 14-13 CUSA). The Aggies took two-of-three from the Bulldogs in Ruston in the first weekend of league play. Liberty will match up with the winner at 2:30 p.m. CT Thursday.
