Where are all the Siakam fanboys?

Hard not to root for a local kid even if you don't like NMSU. After last nights game, he is one of the favorites for Finals MVP.

Not cheering for him or against him but, he was and still is, a helluva player.

NMSU can suck rocks.

I took some Trump like liberty with the OK State/OU definition of the word from Urbandictionary.com (Yes, it exists).

"Someone who attends New Mexico State University and can only live from day to day by thinking of how great it would be to defeat UTEP in ANY venture especially an athletic one. Also known as an aggie.":p:D

He meant played locally, I'm sure. He has improved his game since college. He was best player on the court last night, had the greatest impact. He didn't just score but his defense was stellar. I'm sure Foster played in a finals, but didn't Hardaway as well?

Hardaway never played in finals.

The only true statement Tim Floyd made in seven ****ing years was that Siakim was going to be legit pro, dude went off last night.

The thing that is interesting is all these African born players. Looks like they are better than the american black player.

WTF lol. That's pretty random. What ALL African players are you referring too?

There has been lot of good players coming from Africa. A lot of them are being recruited to Canada. It was first the european player and then the south american player. Now its the African player. These players are changing the game.
Siakam and Embiid are opening the door.

Very Random........and inaccurate African players have been in the NBA for a long time Dikimbe Mutumbo, Hakkem Olajuwon are two that come to mind. The NBA has became global and players come form around the world. Would you also say the Serbian and Eastern Euoprean white players have surpassed american white players? (I certainly would not say that)

They have surpassed the white american a long time ago. Whens the last time there was a white american all star?? I think Kevin Love has been the last one. Dirk and Manu started it and it has taken off ever since. The Larry Birds of NBA are long gone. Its just a matter of time that African players start taking over. Look at UTEP they just took i believe their first African born player last season.

LOL. You are talking about how African players are changing the game, African players are better than the american black player, but can only name 2. One is one of the best players in the game, and the other is good but nothing great. OMG what a rapid take over!!!!

I really don't want to get into this debate but for clarification, Giannis Antetokounmpo was born in Greece but his parents were Nigerian immigrants.

Nathaniel "Tiny" Archibald (born September 2, 1948) is an American retired professional basketball player. He spent 14 years playing in the NBA, most notably with the Cincinnati Royals, Kansas City–Omaha Kings and Boston Celtics. In 1991, he was enshrined in the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.
Boston Celtics
Edit
Buffalo traded him to the Boston Celtics as part of a 7-player deal before the start of the next season.[2][4] His career at the Celtics started poorly. He showed up 20 pounds overweight.[4] However, he adjusted and helped guide the Celtics to the best record in the NBA for three consecutive years (1979–1982).[2] Archibald won his first and only NBA championship with the Boston Celtics in the 1980–81 season alongside young NBA star Larry Bird.

Was no sure about Archibald, sadly until he went to the Celtics he never got to play on a NBA premier caliber teams. BTW at KC-Omaha Royals he played alongside NMSU great Sam Lacey. Not saying Siakam is the greatest "local" to play in the NBA, but his performance in game 1 was the best ever by a "local" in a championship game. I wish nothing but success for Pascal, he has worked hard to improve, overcome much to get where he's at and I admire anyone, regardless of playing a NMSU or anywhere else that accomplish what he has.

Yes, but he’s still an aggy.

Basketball is a worlds game now and the rest of the world has caught up. The Europeans have knocked out the the white american player out of the NBA. Its just a matter of time that there wont be any american players in the NBA. The NBA is making a new league in Africa i think 12 team league. With the play of Pascal siakam,Joel embiid, and Giannis Antetokounmpo i think it will just get bigger.

Francis "The Glass Tiger" Ezenwa played parts of 3 seasons for UTEP from 1988-91. He was a native of Nigeria and his son was a very good player for Bowie High.

Tim Hardaway said this when he got into the league. But then again, Tim said a lot of things.

I believe this will happen like in 10 years. The league is already heading towards that. Spurs i believe had 12 international players on its 15 man roster.
