Where are all the Siakam fanboys?

The only true statement Tim Floyd made in seven ****ing years was that Siakim was going to be legit pro, dude went off last night.
what chaps my ass is that a smaller, budget challenged university up the road can unearth, recruit, and sign the Siakim's of the world while UTEP can't even make thi

Are you in favor of a Canadian team beating an American team for the championship?

Would I cheer for a Canadian National Team to beat a US National Team? Nothing against Canada, but no, never. Would I cheer for a team from a Canadian city over a team from a US city that belonged to the same sports league? Sure, if I had an affection for the Canadian team and/or didn't like the US team.

I like how you added “belonged to the same sports league.” I have no counter argument.

In my personal preference I rather the American city win. When it’s two American cities in the finals I cheer for the one closer to El Paso.

I agree. How many of you here cheer for Mexico when the play USMNT?

And if he didn't pan out? Menzies would have been roasted by with a pile of long green chile by gaggies.

There was a big Mexico fan that used to come to this board and he was big time anti-USMNT. He made a bet with me on one of the games and the loser had to buy the winner a round of drinks. Mexico won, and instead of me buying him a round he e-mailed me his bank account # and asked me to deposit the amount I considered a round into his bank account. The account was a legit account at Wells Fargo

Security needs to tell Drake to sit his ass down.

I don’t have a dog in the fight, but I have been conflicted as to who to root for this series. On one hand I don’t want Golden State to win because I don’t want to listen to the whole “Golden St. is the greatest team ever” argument. But at the same time I don’t want Toronto to win because I don’t want Drake to walk around like he is an NBA champ.

Toronto fans showed what class pieces of feces they are last night with Drake, aka king of auto tune, being the biggest one.

Not that it's much better, but I wonder if the Toronto fans thought he had aggravated his calf rather than torn his Achilles

In the interest of fairness, it's not even possible to know at that moment that he had possibly torn his achilles. No way to know. Fans are just quick to react to a turnover and ridicule the player who turned the ball over. I seriously doubt any fans truly cheered an injury.

Wrong

Who tore their Achilles? I might cheer too. Was it a Cowboy?

Dante Anthony "Dan" Pastorini (born May 26, 1949) is a former American football quarterback in the National Football League (NFL) for the Houston Oilers, Oakland Raiders, Los Angeles Rams, and the Philadelphia Eagles. He is also a winning NHRA Top Fuel Dragster driver.
Five weeks into the 1980 season with Oakland, after posting a 2-2 record, Pastorini broke his leg against the Kansas City Chiefs. The fans, who had been unhappy with his performance and wanted to see backup Jim Plunkett, cheered when they realized he was hurt. Plunkett, a Heisman Trophy winner out of Stanford, and former starting quarterback for the New England Patriots and San Francisco 49ers, had been with the Raiders as a backup quarterback since 1978. He took over and led the Raiders to a Super Bowl victory over the Philadelphia Eagles in January 1981.

okay, having the opposing fans cheer your injury is one thing, but your OWN fans cheering your injury?!?!?!? Damn! That's harsh.

In fairness to the Toronto fans, I'm sure they didn't know how severe the injury was. I've never torn my Achilles, but I imagine it hurts pretty bad and KD's reaction didn't seem to exhibit any pain whatsoever, so maybe they thought he might have tweaked his calf and would be out one play at most. Anyways, still no reason to cheer an injury

I don’t think you should cheer an injury. Just like you shouldn’t shove a player, just like you shouldn’t talk ill shit to players. But more and more fans feel like they’re entitled to.
