UTEP vs NMSU

Good one Maniac. IMO, since it has been so long since UTEP has done the chant, I'm guessing very few fans are left that remember what it is. I really think the band would need to initiate it. Apparently, in 2014, they reinstated it for home games:

It's been many years, but I think they did away with the Amen chant around the same time they let Strelzin go. I remember opposing schools/coaches complaining about Strelzin's tactics of getting the crowd involved. It's possible that the origin of the chant may have had something to do with it getting axed. It would be great for the younger fans to get a taste of what UTEP basketball was back in the day. Hopefully, that starts this Saturday.

It's funny that people complain about ticket prices, but season tickets were more expensive over a decade ago.

Great idea, doesn't work. My family and I have tried a few times, no one else joined in, and I have a loud ass voice (ask Train, Corona, and Fanatico, who have sat near me at UTEP/UTSA basketball games).

Go to the game and start singing it. If people like it they'll pick up on it and join you.

It was never taken away. People just stopped doing it circa 1990

Does ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ QB transfer affect ticket sales?

After Southern Utah Walden lost El Paso. This Nelson kid ain't gonna change the "same old UTEP" attitude the majority of El Paso has just by showing up. He has to come out first game and throw for 300/5 TDS in a route win for there to be any hype. And then proceed to win multiple games in a row for the stadium to get HALF full.

I like the incoming frosh Warner and still hoping for Shay to come out and take the f u c k ing job.

Let's go Shay, do the damn thang.
El Paso is forgiving, 40k+ for the home-opener...
