I corrected my statement towards backend of Dimel tenure. No they didn’t

I figure but I would think that last years success would drive more interest. They still are a good team just not as good. That’s all que cute and all, but Sam Houston State isn’t exactly a household name is it, even in the state of Texas, or less El Paso. 🤡

Not a super big name but that should have brought some interest to this game. They and La Tech were the teams to beat last year.
No they didn’tYou know that is not a fair equivalent. UTEP aggressively marketed two first home games in football under Dimel and got a good turnout.
Some on here will tell you the opponent doesn’t matter…Does anyone care about Sam Houston State? I don’t. That’s why I stayed home to watch Bengals vs Steelers, Texas vs Texas A&M, and a couple of hockey games on TV.

I know there are a lot of dumb people in El Paso, but there’s this thing called the internet and you can find out when ANY team is playing next. That’s a really poor excuse to not know when the next game is or being unable to look it up in 10 seconds.

If you don’t follow Utep games or the team closely the average fan won’t know or be aware of what’s going on
My family are season ticket holders and go to every game
My point is advertising helps a lot…. There is always stuff over here about when baylor games are …
Good point and agree but the FIU-Liberty pair is looking like a hard challenge too.In CUSA the Miner/Aggie road trip is the trip from hell. We have the highest elevation of any of the schools and we both play tough defense.
LaTech looked winded and tired against the Aggies. NMSU dominated. Batcho must have eaten at a bad diner last night. He looked green.
I hope Sam is winded after the Aggie tornado on Thursday.
We had a bad shooting night against LaTech. I don't see that happening tonight.

If you’re family you can tell your family when the games are. They’re unable to look at UTEP athletics.com and see when the games are?
