The Pac2 didn’t fold instead they turned around and took teams from the Mountain West to stay alive. That left the Mountain West needing replacements and that’s how UTEP got the invite.

UT/OU moving to the SEC was the first domino to fall opening up several spots and the idea of expansion in the Big 12, which PAC teams acted upon, opening up spots for MWC teams…

The trolls here have no lives and no friends and all the attention they get is from this site. I don't hate them. I don't even dislike them. I just feel sorry for them.

The dozen, or so, trolls on this site are the majority? You guys still living with your parents don't even attend the games, much the less contribute dollars to the program. The Thousands and thousands of true fans that put their money where their mouth is and attend the games are the true majority. You trolls are on the fringes, like monkeys flinging your feces at people. That said, why the F is Golding getting an extension?

100%. We can't win in CUSA, how the heck are we going to win in the MWC? Bronzing is going to bury this team for the next 3 years at the bottom of it. San Jose State and UC Davis may be the only teams we are on par with. This is going to get really ugly.

The only thing good thing that may come out of this is that Senter gets fired after the next couple of disastrous seasons. My bet is that the football teams improvement may bail him out.

I just can't believe what UTEP has become. Any other school would have fired Bronzing. Only UTEP is dumb enough to give him an extension. You just can't make this up.

Yup. This upcoming football season is the only thing that can save UTEP athletics. Pewter will have to have an immaculate non-conference record for anyone to get excited about this team.

It’s really hard for me to believe that Pewter has many high level supporters, which he must have. People must enjoy losing and beating D2 teams. That’s why attendance has gone to 4,000 announced for most games.

This is pretty much my response. Not every hire is going to work out, I get that. But extending a hire that clearly isn't working out is just a big Eff You to the fan base. Senter and Wilson just don't care.

I have a theory this goes back to Natalicio / Stull. There had been some scandals in the sports program at the same time she was trying to build the academics. I think she hired Stull and told him to try to hire coaches that could win, but top priority was to be squeaky clean so there were no distractions from what she was trying to do with the academic side. If that meant bypassing rising coaches that might bring baggage, so be it. And I think that culture is living on.
