Jones has to sit out a year, right? How about Swiggy?
If he bolted for a JUCO I don't understand that. Baffling. No because he is now at a JUCO in Nebraska.
If he bolted for a JUCO I don't understand that. Baffling.
If he values his education, he could have dropped to D2 (or D3, but no scholarship) without sitting out a year. But he's giving up a sure D1 slot to expend a year at a JUCO (WHO CARES?) and he'll end up who knows where after that. Maybe he'll be D1 at a Power 5 school (who will pull the trigger for his remaining two years?) or maybe he'll be D1 at Bethune-Cookman. The kid's already a gamble and he's taking quite a gamble.By going to a JUCO he doesn't have to sit out a year; if he was going to leave, given that he has already sat out a year, it actually makes a lot of sense. And, if he's cleared, he can play D1 ball the following season. Keion Kindred had the same idea when he went to Yavapi rather than honor his NLI.
