BTW, no fewer than 100 regulars to this message board are now subscribers to Miners Are Forever. It's the irreverent (but supportive) newsletter that goes to former UTEP players, alums and donors.

Wish I could do the newsletter more often, say, once every two weeks. Two things interfere:
(2.) I live 300 miles from campus. Must rely solely on trusted sources, rather than what I see, for instance, in UTEP's women's basketball program. Which, by the way, I hear the distaff Miners will be highly competitive this upcoming season.
Too, I want to go watch UTEP softball and women in a rifle match. But those shooting events are held all over North America.
(1.) Right now, Miners Are Forever is a hobby, my feeble little attempt to give back to the University that gave me so much, so long ago. If I do the newsletter too often, it becomes more like a job for me. And less like a thick slice of chocolate cake for you.
