Wow, thats like a small high school. Why is this our home opener?...with ~1300 students, will play three home basketball games this season in Pineville.
Why is this a thread? UTEP, back in the Haskins days, played a lot of little schools to get ready for conference time. Yes, I want some substance, but stop nit picking....good lord

No MEAC, SWAC, or OVC schools were available tomorrow? Only a D3 school? Not even a D2 school? This team was here last year too. This is pathetic and only a moron would pay to see this crap.
Floyd and Stull should see an empty arena tomorrow.
Why do you buy season tickets? There's no demand and are easily available for every game.

Some people like the idea of sitting in the same place all season

One of my favorite Billy Gillispie games was an exhibition game: beating the Globetrotters.Billy Gillespie got rich doing it.

Well said..I got season tickets when Floyd was hired because I thought they would be hard to come by and I wanted to be at all the games. I wanted the continuity and comfort of the same seats and parking. The 1st game against Pacific was sold out. Four years later (and no more sellouts) I gave up my season tickets out of sheer fact that I couldn't get 5 seats together on a decent level. I complained for 4 years as attendance seemed to dwindle. When I cancelled my season tickets I got an email from Park to meet him but I declined out of frustration. There are season ticket holders that want to sit closer but they give those seats to companies that never fill the seats. I asked at the ticket sales dept if they want the money and the fans or just the money? I got a blank stare. Now I buy $8 tickets and pretty much sit in better seats and UTEP doesnt get the extra 2-3k in donation that I was willing to give every year.It does cost a ton, especially for what Floyd has given us, but I enjoy the games regardless of the opponent. Sure, I would love to see solid opponents every game, but no school only schedules name teams. Hell, if we go to play a big school, most times I would bet their fan base would complain about playing us.
It's great being able to have your own seats for the entire season. You tend to build friendships with the folks around you, and you never have to worry about getting a good seat if/when we play a good team.
The donation is a good thing to give as well...

I hate the fact that companies buy such good seats and never use them. I know my previous employer had sever pairs in different areas and would give them to either employees or advertisers. Tax writeoff....buy no one sits in those seats.
Maybe they should be required to have the seats used a certain percentage of the games or they give them up? Move them higher in the Don? Companies that own the great lower seats are the reason we look so damn empty each game.

No just win and fill it lol That was an Awful suggestion. That's basically saying we always plan on sucking and not being good again, hahaI’d be nice if they just built a new, smaller, more intimate arena.

29-0 with 7:22 left in 1H haha.
You realize it's D1 vs D3 right? "This level" isn't really true when talking about this game
Jeezuz! 29-0? Holy shiz. Don't know if I've seen anything like that before at this level.
I'm fully aware. By "level" I just meant collegiate. 29-0 over a HS team would be unlikely, let alone a college team, DIII or not.
