I completed this list last year and just added his most recent recruits . Also, I deleted personal comments on each player. Thanks Roy_Bigwood 05 for the kind words. You're one of the few on this board that actually gets it.
 
Great job, ProjectO. It really illustrates the issue. Of special interest to me is the number of four year players that have graduated. The sad answer is that there have been far too few.

Thank you Sir, it really hits home when the stats are front and center (they don't lie). Floyd has done a terrible job recruiting here at UTEP and this just confirms what a disaster the Tim Floyd project has become among other factors.

Not that I think Kugler should still be here but he is in charge of over 50+ players per season and TF is responsible for less than 15. I would almost guarantee that SK has less players that have transferred or left the team than TF.
 
Who cares how many players have transferred from the football team if it is awful? You all can't stomach 18-20 win basketball seasons but can do 4 win football seasons?
 
Haha fu&$ing blind naive idiots. It's time to clean house. From the AD to the basketball coach to the football coach. Capiche?

I do agree that there is a problem, and despite what Floyd is saying now, he has always over recruited. It's really interesting to look at this list above and see all of those names. Just imagine all the potential there.

I do have to say I think the list is a bit skewed because of the non-qualifiers. Some of CTF's highest rated recruits were high risk and never made the grade i.e. Rashanti Harris, January, Carr, and Sandifer. Hunter was the only one that made it and would have been playing in the Big 10 otherwise. Some others were able to take advantage of the prop 48 like J. Wash, Willms, Jones and hopefully Wade (who CTF said could be the best perimeter player he's had at UTEP!). McKenzie Moore went the long route and then just shot himself in the foot. Artis went the long route and seemingly turned things around (to his and UTEP's atvantage). The Hamilton story was just crap all around. Floyd has hopefully avoided these types of recruits for 17' as he says he changed his approach. Just maybe he will start looking at more transfers or 5th year seniors himself.

Some other players just flaked out and left early or transfered. Some did well at other schools like M.Perez and Desmond Lee. Some disappeared like a fart in the wind.

The lingering question is what are the reasons or cause for all of this. Some fall on the players and some fall on the coach. It's a combination, not just one or the other. If UTEP were winning, then we would probably care less. We are also able to pay more attention now because of social media then let's say when Barbee got rid of Manuel Cass and Marcus Ruppel.

Let's hope that this year everything falls into place and the miners win. Then CTF can keep it going. If the miners lose and there is more drama then Floyd must be let go or move on period.

FYI: Matt Korcheck was a Barbee recruit and had to go the JC route before landing at Arizona. Micheal Haynes transfered and was later killed. Another Barbee recruit was Eric Moreland who was sitting out that year and then transferred to Oregon St. when Barbee decided to leave. He led the the PAC 12 in rebounding and blocked shots before going to the NBA. You forgot to mention another Barbee recruit named John Bohannon whom Floyd convinced to stay. I would say that he did farely well... We all know what happened to Moultrie. He averaged a double double and was 1st team all SEC before turning pro. Imagine all of those guys together with RC 3, Stone, Polk and Je. Williams! Easily a top 25/NCAA team. Barbee recruited much better than Floyd ever has at UTEP to this point.

Valid points but do you honestly believe that Floyd deserves an 8th year? If he wasn't a Coach Haskins assistant, he would've been shown the door a few years ago. Also, I hate the fact that he doesn't take accountability for anything.

He's always had a shady side to him and some reporter (name escapes me) warned us of Floyd when he was hired at UTEP and absolutely nailed it.

I think Floyd should have been let go after the 14-15' season. I bought season tickets when Floyd was hired because I thought tickets would be hard to come by. I discontinued my season tickets last year and I heard from the assistant athletic director. He wanted to meet with me but I felt it was fruitless and I was right. I just sent him a lengthy email outlining my expectations of the program and explained that I and many fans were disgusted.

I do think Floyd felt the pressure last year and has changed his attitude a bit. Since us fans don't have any choice (unless we all collectively boycott the games), Floyd is the coach and I will try to stay involved and support the team by going to the games (just no donations for now).

Malcolm Moore Transfered and Marqywell Jackson transferred after summer semester. Had to sit out a year a Duquesne. Also, some of the players listed like Kenny Williams never actually signed with UTEP be reportedly committed.

Already transferred out of Duquesne, too.
 
I would bet Haskins and other coaches list are even bigger. Back then they just didnt have twitter where recruits say they have been committed but were never offered.

And it is just so funny that there are some that want you to bury your head in the sand and not see that there is a problem. And I may have to admit, it may not really be Floyd that is the problem. It is the ones that keep looking into the skies for something different to happen, and keep saying next year. They are truly the problem, because it is they that allow for Floyd and Stull to still be here. For Price to have 7 straight seasons, and had no problem to allow it to continue. They are truly the problem with the athletic program as they don't really care what shape it is in, as long as they can keep worshipping their false gods. These are the people that make the athletic department very happy because they don't ever have to lift a finger because they know they will always have some fools that will keep following them off a cliff, because they keep being told it is just a little bump.

Very good post Rocketsr. The only thing I slightly disagree with is Price. He resurrected the football program and I think he is really the reason why football attendance is still respectable. I remember the 2004 and 2005 seasons very well and he brought UTEP to new heights. I thought Floyd was going to get UTEP to the Big Dance regularly, be ranked regularly, and win conference championships every so often. Even if Price did win with Nord's players at least he brought droves of people to the Sun Bowl, got UTEP ranked, and got UTEP to 3 bowl games. Floyd has done nothing here as a head coach.

I am a fan of Miner basketball. My stance on Floyd went from being ecstatic, to being patient, to this is getting tiresome, to this is getting embarrassing. Right now I am in a " I have no control over the situation mode" and my days are too short to wait for or expect change, so I am in the " Let's go Miner's" camp with Floyd because that's what we've got! Not gonna sit around and whine and mope. Tomorrow is here and life's too short. I will not carry a "Fire Floyd" sign.

Floyd is going to be our coach next season, so I believe in him and hope he turns it around. I think the main problem is Stull and we desperately need a change in UTEP's athletic dept. culture. Im tired of his well ya the team isn't meeting expectations but we are leading CUSA in attendance so there is no problem here.
