Other than track and field; It is not a good year for miner team sports. Football is a no show, softball has not had a winning season in years currently 23-32, volleyball 4-14 very disappointing - they can never pull out the win and usually losing 3 straight sets, the soccer team 9-4-2 plays great during pre-conference but folds when conference comes around. Both men's and women's basketball are question marks and don't look to be any better this year. I love my Miners but it is getting harder to support a losing program.

Its tough right now, but we've been here before. In 2002 and 2003 we were 2-10 in football. In 2002-2003 we were 6-24 in hoops. In 2004 we made a bowl game and the ncaa tournament. Theres always hope. It doesnt look good for either revenue sport right now. Hope is all we have.

All this losing will make winning all the more sweet when it happens. I dont know when it will happen but I hope its sooner rather than later. In two weeks deepite the negativity we'll all put on our orange go through our gameday superstitions and root like hell for the Miners.

Kugler football was a stunner this year for me. I honestly thought Kugler was going to turn the corner this year, not jump off Rim Road head first. I bet the interim coaching staff at FIU sent a nice fruit basket arrangement to Kugler's office this morning. "Thanks for M&M's! (Money and Memories. We just inked a deal!)"

The Mens Track Team Scored 0 Points at the last championship. 76 teams scored 1 or more. Only one athlete placed, Tobi Amusan got 2nd in the Hurdles. She's just a Freshman but already World Class. But, other that her, Track isn't very good either. In C-USA the men finished 6th and the women 4th.

We are basically becoming a Womens Basketball School.
