Golding and Coaching Contract

Any stupid decision is absolutely possible with Senter. However, I really haven't seen/heard Senter defending anything Golding. Additionally, when extensions are done, they are usually done so it shows recruits they have faith in the coaching staff and they are staying. I haven't seen ANY kids that have been contacted by utep.
Looks like the writing on the wall is drying.

Again allegedly the reason why it hasn’t been announced is because of the UT approval process one sure way to know is to get it from someone on the team word is they know.

1. We for the most part agree Golding hasn’t done enough to get extended or keep his job.
2. There have been rumors he has had an extension since mid season.
3. Utep might not have enough to buy him out and get a decent new coach
4. The fan base and boasters have lost faith in Golding and Senter has to make a decision
5. Utep’s history isn’t very encouraging with this matter. So unless he voluntarily leaves for another assistant job somewhere or something, I fear we may be stuck with him a little while longer.

Unless Golding hires better recruiting assistants, gets some shooters and some fierce competitors who don’t fold with adversity, the NIL money increases, and Golding changes his last name to Haskins I’m not buying anything he’s selling!!!

There are plenty of good guys in this world. They don't all win basketball games. Senter has failed miserably as an AD. He should be the first to go, but Wilson isn't going to do that. Not moving on from Golding solves nothing. Perhaps UTEP doesn't have the buyout money, if so, then the blame is solely on Senter and his incompetence. He can't take credit for the MWC either. He sits around constantly blaming the fanbase, while it continues to dwindle... People are sick of this nonsense from UTEP athletics. Let's all hope FB does well. Golding has had 4 years to show, he can't have a winning CUSA record! PERIOD. He is not he guy. Look how easy Liberty made layups against Golding's "defense" they made UTEP look terrible.

NOW is the time to change coaches. 4 years with nothing to show, poor recruiting, big roster turnover coming and only a 1 year cushion until the move to the MWC.

If Senter can't see this then he's blinded by his own ineptitude and should be fired immediately along with Golding. There is absolutely zero accountability at UTEP. It's ridiculous.

They are not an already struggling program. UTEP almost sold out the Sun Bowl for 1 football game and they sold out 1 basketball game. None of the other CUSA schools can get close to those numbers. Yet, they don’t struggle, they’re not considered “poor” by some fans.

Have you ever looked at the attendance at a FIU basketball or football game? Have you looked at attendance at other mid major programs around the country? UTEP gets more fans to their games than most mid majors. Stop with this bullshit.

UTEP has 1 basketball and 0 football conference championships in the 20 years they’ve been in CUSA. You may want to go higher, but UTEP can’t even compete in CUSA.

UTEP makes bad hire after bad hire. That is their problem, not anything else.
