Graham has proven he can do what needs to be done at mid major level... good pick...
No, by all accounts he is not a well liked man. He is down right hated with some going as far to say he is a disgusting human being.
That’s pretty extreme, who would you pick? Y’all are pretty picky Considering that UTEP just when 0-12 in CUSA.

8. Arkansas: Fat ass out. Will anybody hire fat ass?

It will be interesting if the awful state of the program plus a wasted first recruiting class will discourage many qualified candidates.
Brendal Briles would be my top pick. Followed by graham harrell. Oc of north texas. We need someone that can recruit and quick. Imo we will have a ton of players transferring and will be filling up on several juco talents for next season. We need a qb.
Only basing my opinion players will transfer on most of the young talent. Junior level players unless they graduate and can make that graduate move will probably stay. A 6'3" young qb i think gets a fair shake. A coach like a briles or harrel, would know based off tape if the kid has it. Again going into the coaching search needs to be a coach that can groom a qb. Now with graduates being able to leave maybe we could even pick up a backup qb from a decent school to get us through a year while they groom young arms.
We need a coaching name to draw interest to possible recruits. Regardless of opinions on briles if we could put up 30+ points a game , the fanbase would support it. Im just not sure if briles or harrel will be options as they may already have secured coaches in waiting titles lol
Briles originally from florida not sure if getting back to texas is at the top of his list.
A source said K. Briles is pushing hard for the UTEP job. I forget which thread it was in.

I would rather have a douche/hated coach than Sean Kugler or Mike Price. They both couldn't win here and are an embarrassment to college football thanks to their "efforts" this year.
I met Graham when he was the head coach at Tulsa. He was speaking at the Glazier Clinic in Dallas. I thought he was a cool ****er.
I didn't see how he is a "jerk".
He seems like a pretty good guy:

I don't know what it means, but Houston was close to an agreement to coach Georgia Southern then pulled is name out of consideration. I'm sure Senter has already reached out. I definatley think he's in play.
Graham is a ASS. I personally know the family very well here in Mesquite. He is not a very liked or respected guy in the coaching circle. Former players would fight him if they saw him in public and not because of playing time. No no and HE'LL NO
When you go 0-12 in a crappy conference like CUSA you need to do something drastic like FIU/FAU did to turn the program around. Both teams did very well this year with questionable hires. Hire TG, he'll turn us into a winner and then he'll be off to greener pastures. At that point we can hire one of the coaches mentioned earlier. Nobody liked Barbee but he was the last coach that took us to the dance and won a conference championship.
You're certainly entitled to your opinion, but to compare Mike Price and Sean Kugler as either men or football coaches or to assert that Price is an "embarrassment to college football" is to significantly dilute the collective football IQ on this board.

i would think UTEP is a better job than Georgia Southern. If he is willing to take Georgia Southern Job then he should be interested in Utep.
FIU and FAU pay double of what UTEP pays their HC. Todd Graham ain't coming to UTEP for 500k per year. UTEP would have to make him one of the top 3 highest paid coaches in CUSA for him to show any interest in the job.
They have only been an FBS program for 4 years and have already won more bowl games that UTEP has in the past 50 years.
