I do wonder, if a merger happens, is UTEP still included? I would guess so, since things are signed by the regents? Imagine having to stay in CUSA! Yuck.
I would guess that a merger is very unlikely, though still possible.

The PAC 12 thought they were going to be able to get AAC teams and not have to deal with San Jose and Wyoming. Now they have to settle for Texas St and someone else. They’re also lucky Utah St decided to join them or else they’d be in worse shape.

UTEP has 1 more season in CUSA. In the unlikely event of a merger happening, UTEP would be included in that. Along with UC-Davis, GCU, and NIU.

The NBA and the Liberal news stations ratings have nothing to do with cable tv.

The NBA fell on their own sword with its Wokeness. Secondly, it is becoming trash basketball with everyone just dribbling the ball around and then jacking up 3's There is a lack of rivalries as there is a lack of competitive balance. They have the highest blowout percentage this year of over 20 points than any other year. The defense is laughable.

The lack of continuity as the players change teams, and the fact that they don't value the regular season as players complain about playing back to back games and still sit out too many even with the new rules. Heck, I can't even figure out the jersey's anymore as they have so many different colors.

There is a dearth of American stars, as most of the top players are not born in the US.

As for the News stations, Fox has ratings that are at its highest in nearly a decade, while CNN and MSNBC are the ones that are seeing their lowest ratings ever. Fox's ratings are better than both of those combined. That is easy to figure out why. Credibility and not being neutral. The numbers are drastically different as MSNBC has dropped 46% and CNN 33% while Fox has gained a 73% share. The Liberal stations have been seeing a decline over the last few years and yet have continued with the same format ad nauseum. You would think Jerry Jones was running both those networks.

I disagree that it's because of wokeness and what you say. I think people are getting tired of sitting at home watching TV.. Who really does that anymore?? People have more things to do now than they did 20 years ago .20 years ago people planned to watch TV and their favorite cable show. Now I think watching TV is a last option thing to do . People rather go wait in line at a new Albertsons store opening than sit at home and watch TV.

You don’t get it - not surprised.

Almost everyone watches tv. Most people decide to watch it on their terms though. Watching the new episode of Friends, Seinfeld, or MASH was appointment television back then. It’s not that way anymore. People will watch on their own terms. Especially since they can watch of their phone or tablet, instead of an actual tv.

Sports and live programming or the only reasons to watch as it happens. I have never met anyone that doesn’t watch tv.
