With all the speculation of a move to the MWC for the past couple of weeks, someone posted not too long ago, that if UTEP showed no interest in hosting the CUSA tournament for the next go round...it looked promising the rumors would be true. Well, channel 9 just reported UTEP has not only bid for next year's tourney...but for the next 3. Well, we've got all summer to get hyped up for the F_U's and OOtsa's again, get used to it cuz it don't look like we're going anywhere. That is all.

If we are going to be in CUSA might as well make the best of it.

TF needs all the help he can get to get us into the NCAA tournament. Home field advantage through the conference tournament will greatly increase those odds.

I dont read into this either way. Memphis bid on tournaments every year when they were actively looking to leave. They are trying to keep things quiet. By not bidding it would have caused a firestorm especially in the slow off season. I dont think we will or should be awarded any tournaments. It makes no sense to play tournaments in El Paso.
