Defensively we seem to either get a steal or give up an open shot. Thankfully we're playing Sul Ross

He had a quick start tonight with a three right out of the gate, but hasn't done anything since. A disappointment so far, but the season's young

I think we can add Givance into this category as well. Defensively, both him and Hardy have been solid, but we are going to need more offensively from them.

Agreed. Neither of our starting guards are what I'd hoped they'd be. It's early, but this was a perfect game to find their footing

Givance was a 13+ pts/game guy the last two years. It’s not like he was a volume shooter either. His fg percentage two years ago was just under 50% and last year it was over 45%. Unless he’s being asked to assume a much different role, I have to think he’s gonna come around.

Same with Hardy. He can score.

Yep, that is my hope as well. TBH, Hardy led us in scoring against NMSU.

With the transfer portal, I never like to assume the roster for next year anymore lol kids ain’t interested in red shirting anymore it feels like.
