So you think movies being made in El Paso isn't a big thing? You don't think A list celebrities are staying in El Paso isn't a big thing?? You don't think movie companies staying in El Paso and staying in El Paso Hotels and eating in local restaurants isn't a big thing? Please you tell me what you think is a big deal?? 🤔 🤔
The definition of the "Next Big Thing for El Paso" is in the eye of the beholder. I've always found it fun to see El Paso in movies such as Glory Road, Lone Wolf McQuade and Extreme Prejudice, and personally don't mind you posting info on One Battle After Another to this thread.

However, there are certainly those for whom "Next Big Thing for El Paso" is the next thing that will significantly improve tourism, the economy, or activities for the city. Under this definition a movie shoot, a chain restaurant, etc. do not count. The last "Big Thing" under this definition that I can personally think of is the addition of the Chihuahuas.

One note: while I think it is cool that the movie was shot in El Paso, there will be no lasting impact. Here is a list of movies, TV shows/episodes, sporting events, etc. that were at least partially filmed in El Paso: https://m.imdb.com/search/title/?locations=el paso, texas, usa

As you can see from the list, there have been quite a few. However, if you perform a similar search for Albuquerque, Santa Fe, Tucson, or Phoenix, you will see that we pale in comparison to other Southwest cities (especially Tucson, with it's Old Tucson movie studio) when it comes to hosting movie and TV productions.

We are not going to become Hollywood Soutwest, and this movie had practically zero impact on the economy. Seeing El Paso in a movie again will be cool, though.

OPs original post he had multiple choice, his last option was OTHER. A new movie being made in El Paso falls in the OTHER. You can go ahead and join Kane in the penalty box. Don't come out until you understand what option Other means. 👍👍👍😁😁😁

It seems like your reading comprehension is on par with your spelling and grammar:

I did point out that your idea that El Paso could become the next Hollywood is ridiculous, but didn't at all complain about you posting info about the movie here.

Oh, and in this instance, the disagreement between you and Kane lies not in the definition of "Other," but in the definition of "Big Thing."

Correct. That’s great El Paso had some parts of a movie here, it’s just probably not going to lead to anything. Nobody cares that Leo dined at Cafe Central. An extremely small percentage of his fans may insist on eating there because he did or travel here because of it, but this is just an everyday occurrence.

The fact that someone would proclaim or believe this is anything massive, just shows you how small time El Paso is.

It sounded to me like you were complaining. Let me ask this? If Leo hooks up with Krystal Poppin and they get married. Leo decides to move to El Paso and open a restaurant or business. Would that be considered a BIG THING?? I just want to know what is considered a BIG THING???

Maniac, I hope you choose not to indulge this guy any further. Right on par, the hypothetical situations and questions are becoming more and more ridonculous as the conversation goes on.
🤨🤨🤨 We're just having a grown up intelligent debate. If you have nothing to add then just stay out of it. 👍👍👍

C'mon, Fanatico, i wanted to know which El Paso schools Leo's kids were going to attend. Now I'll never know.

Leo will probably home school them. I'm more excited about the possibility of Leo opening a Titanic amusement park in El Paso. That would be huge. 👍👍👍😉🫠🫠

You're in luck, Fili. I just got off the phone with Leo and he said he's read your posts and is going to find a Spanish speaking woman to marry and move to El Paso. Said he's in with a group of investors and they're all-in for a Titanic themed amusement park but he asked if you could suggest a location. He would post here but he's trying to stay on the down low because of his fame.
