Very sad loss of a solid player that played during our great Miner basketball teams of the 80s.
Yes, RIP. I will never forget his nice soft left handed jump shot.

Wow, very sad news. Richmond was a a very good post player, with, like mikesarabia pointed out, a very soft left handed jump shot. Hey was a key player on two NCAA Tournament teams, and started for the 86-87 team that is famous for beating Sean Elliott's Arizona team in overtime in the McKale Center in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. He will be missed.
I remember the first time I saw him play I thought he had an ugly jumper, just because he was a lefty, but it was super smooth and became a part of a great time for UTEP basketball. RIP
