Can you fly to Albuquerque from El Paso?
I think to fly there you've gotta fly to Dallas or Phoenix first

My wife and I are driving up to my dad and step mom’s place in Taos for Christmas break. Timing it to stop off in Albuquerque to catch the game, then up to their place.
Still debating nonreving over. I’ll probably make up my mind Thurs (free hotel cancel by 11:59 pm local on Thurs)
I just checked Southwest for only $920 you can fly round trip from Friday to Sunday. Stops in Austin, Dallas, or Phoenix going to ABQ and Las Vegas, Dallas, and Phoenix on the way back to El Paso. Very cost effective!
Nice. I have a commitment in Galveston the weekend of the game. Either way I don't think I would do the drive. It's about 11hrs from my house. I've driven from El Paso to Austin at least five times in the last 2 months. Kind of burned out.
I’ve got my tickets and going to the game. I’m traveling first to EP and driving to ABQ. This a tough game for the Miners, but hoping they find a way to pull off the W. I also hope we get a good UTEP turn out.
Not sure if true or not, but I've heard that the city charges the airlines alot to fly in and out of El Paso. Thats why the Airport loses routes and flights.

What about the Oñate, er, I mean "Equestrian" statue at the airport? People should be flocking to the El Paso airport to see the largest bronze, equestrian statue in the world... at the airport.

When the Wright Amendment was repealed , flights to El Paso were cut to the bone.
I bought tickets for my daughter and son in law who live in ABQ. However I'll be at !!!Texas Live!!! reminding the people that work there that UTEP is really a Texas team and should therefore be playing on all the Big Screens with sound!!!! If any DFW Miner Fans wanna join!

Interesting that Senter emphasizes "MWC" so much. Almost as if he wants to impress them. It looks like UTEP fans have bought almost all of our allotment.
Or he’s very aware of the snub we got from the MWC and he’s trying to appeal to any sense of “revenge” Miner fans might want to dish towards the conference.
The tickets sold online will be misleading. Both schools for the bowl game get an allotment. Those tickets will show up as sold online. Its then up to the schools to sell them. I imagine our allotment is between 6-8k. That message from Senter tells me we are still have at least half of our allotment available. I don't know how big our allotment is we could have been given as many as 10k, although I bet is between 6-8k.

If you follow the link from UTEP's official site so that you can buy from UTEP's allotment, you can see the availability of the "UTEP block" of tickets, and availability is shown as "low" for UTEP's allotment in all four sections.
I hope it is. However, UTEP routinely shows seats as sold and when people buy tickets more inventory is released. I think they are trying to create demand by showing limited inventory. The messaging coming out of the athletic department doesn't jive with us almost selling out our allotment.
I think there will be a very good Miner contingent. However, that tweet from Senter this morning reads like a panicked message. I also think he was trying to sell tickets to impress the MWC. I don't think his message was about "revenge".
If you go to Fresno State's site and use their link to buy tickets it shows the exact same quantities available in their four sections that mirror UTEP's four sections on the opposite side. I don't think very many tickets have been sold.
The Lobos and UTSA played there in 2016 and had under 30,000. The place holds 39,000 and the Lobos couldn’t even sell out their own place. There’s a FVCK TON of seats available. You’re kidding yourself if you think this will be close to sellout. Lucky to get 20,000.
