I just got an e-mail about the tip-off luncheon and it stated there was going to be a special announcement about the 50th anniversary of the 1966 team. Too bad UTEP won't play Kentucky, but I am sure it's going to be about all the players coming here during a game.

I was reading the Miner rush article on the upcoming season and the article did point out the rotation Floyd now has at his disposal which could cause match up problems for opponents. It is a pretty good article and highlighted stuff some of us failed to see. Omega's grades situation really threw a wrench in the whole situation for the fall but I think UTEP will be much better than last year in the back court. Lang's big bruiser style will be missed for sure.

If you celebrated it during a game against Eastern New Mexico and made it a thing, you could probably get a really good crowd for it. Instead of “4,000”.
