Sun Bowl renovations

I agree that UTEP bears some responsibility for it falling apart. With the new $80 million amphitheater on the horizon, they might not see the necessity for this project at the moment. Most acts will likely prefer the new venue until its initial appeal fades. Additionally, the arena controversy still lingers in people's minds.

They took the UTEP stuff off because there wasn’t much public support and that is understandable. I doubt there is much public support for spending $30 million to add buildings , a stage , and walking trails at shitty Ascarate and $60 million upgrading the shitty coliseum. Take those off as well. I’m tired of paying more $$$ for stupid shit in addition to high property taxes.

The field lighting for the Sun Bowl, University Field and HoT Field. Arena/ gymnasium lighting for Haskins Center and Memorial Gym. Full renovation for Kidd Field.

Sun Bowl still lands Coldplay next summer. Guess the upgrades weren’t that necessary after all.
