Not surprised that the posters that heard the Floyd/Kappie "beatdown" sided with Kappie and posted how "mean and unprofessional" Coach acted. I read the posts then listened to the recording and I gotta say: The coach WAS waiting for Kappie in the bushes with a baseball bat! I like Kappie and I consider him the preeminent sportscaster in town. And I love it when sportscasters challenge the coaches/administrators and ask the tough questions and go for the throat. We all do. But conversely, I love it when the coaches/administrators reply with tough answers and go for the throat as well. Kappie, rightly or wrongly, defended us fans during the post season when players transferred by directly questioning whether the coach was at fault and whether he (and his staff) was up to the job of handling this generation of student athletes. A fair question I think. But along with that he gave voice to that loud and constant gang that is unequivocally calling for coach's head. Well today Coach Floyd just got done defending himself and his program from all that. And now this same group is loudly whining that he's mean and unprofessional and he should be fired for that too.
Me, I support Kappie and Coach and if you listen to what was said with an open mind, maybe millennials are different after all. I know Coach Haskins would have been appalled.
