I would never post anything threatening or disrespectful. I just stated the facts. Keitha and her recruiting of International players worked for a while during her first stint her in El Paso but those days are long gone. I know her top assistant coach focuses on foreign players trying to find that diamond in the rough but it just isn't working and the players she does bring in are average at best. I know college basketball recruiting is difficult especially in El Paso but it may time for a change. Someone younger who has the drive to bring some under the radar talent. Maybe some top players who may not fit the mold, but can play. Concentrate on ability at the guard position, not necessarily size. Focus on speed, shooting, unselfishness and defense. This I don't recruit under 5'5" for a guard makes no sense especially for UTEP. So you get a 5'6" to 5'9" guard who has average skills so what, I would rather have a 5'3 to 5'5" guards who can play and may be over looked because of their height but would fit in nicely at UTEP. You then start looking for the best available undersized forwards and centers, who play with heart and know how to block out, play defense and rebound. Stop just recruiting for size and not players! If you are lucky enough to come across an athletic girl over 6 foot that wants to play at UTEP great but there are a lot of very good 5'10" to 6' players with long wing spans who know how to use their bodies and are usually quicker than the taller girls. Focus on an up and down style with a crazy fast pressing defense that disrupts things on every possession. Probably not going to get many players who are rated with stars next to their name but focusing on the next tier of players may work rather than getting players who have the size and look the part but can't play, which describes most of their roster now.
