Big 12 will still probably lose it's BCS status. Losing Texas, Oklahoma and W. Virginia won't even out with those 4 additional teams in my opinion.Set to be accepted into Bug 12 as early as September 10th. Looks like AAC will have at least 3 openings to fill. Perhaps 3 CUSA teams, perhaps Boise St.
Let the landslide begin where we end up is anyones guess.
I don’t think they’ll lose power conference status this next go round. I honestly think they’ll stay on par with the PAC and the ACC, minus Clemson in fb.Big 12 will still probably lose it's BCS status. Losing Texas, Oklahoma and W. When did they lose West Virginia?Big 12 will still probably lose it's BCS status. Losing Texas, Oklahoma and W. Virginia won't even out with those 4 additional teams in my opinion.
Right? Was wondering if I had missed something. Still a possibility they go to ACC, but doubtful if the Big 12 plans on staying in tact…which it sounds like they do.When did they lose West Virginia?
West Virginia I believe we'll be going to ACC once the dust settlesWhen did they lose West Virginia?
Unless ACC convinces ND to also join I don't see it happening.West Virginia I believe we'll be going to ACC once the dust settles
Very doubtful. WV wants rhe ACC but the ACC has never wanted WV. It's an unrequited love.West Virginia I believe we'll be going to ACC once the dust settles
Right. B12 messed up and took them over Louisville. Should have taken Louisville instead. Not sure how much difference it would have made today, but yeahVery doubtful. WV wants rhe ACC but the ACC has never wanted WV. It's an unrequited love.
AAC will be still be able to poach the best of the Sun Belt, Liberty, and CUSA. It would be fine with me if they took some CUSA teams.Hopefully they don’t start poaching cusa teams again. This conf is thin as it gets already…
I think you consider these schools (in no particular order) - UTSA, UNT, Rice, Coastal Carolina, UAB, WKU, ODU, App St, and Louisiana.Who's the best of CUSA/SB?
UAB has always been my top choice if was the commissioner of AAC. Who else?
Georgia St has a nice new stadium and a hot market.
I don't think any of the Texas schools move the needle. Maybe UTSA.
Georgia St is in a big market that doesn't even know they exist. They are hosting Army today and only have a handful of fans there. I'm sure they will announce 20k though. Georgia St has had some good basketball seasons but can't draw flies. I doubt they get a look.Who's the best of CUSA/SB?

Georgia St wouldn’t be high on my list either, but I can see why they would be considered. I am hoping CUSA doesn’t expand though. Don’t really care who goes where, as UTEP won’t be considered for any move.Georgia St is in a big market that doesn't even know they exist. Why wouldn't the Big 12 add Boise St? I would think they'd take Boise St. before BYU.Set to be accepted into Bug 12 as early as September 10th. Looks like AAC will have at least 3 openings to fill. Perhaps 3 CUSA teams, perhaps Boise St.

BYU brings the viewership. Boise is no where near in that regard. Why wouldn't the Big 12 add Boise St? I would think they'd take Boise St. before BYU.
Boise was also a Junior College in 1965, so they have been a “real” school for very “long”. They also have, or did at one time, offer degrees in trucking. They are also a bit further northwest than Provo too.BYU brings the viewership. Boise is no where near in that regard.
Not taking away from Boise State’s impressive trajectory, but as you said, they were JC until 1968, NAIA until 1970, DII until 1977, and I aa (fcs) until 1996. There’s probably not another program in the country with an ascension quite like that. With all that said, I can’t imagine they’d be attractive to the Big12.Boise was also a Junior College in 1965, so they have been a “real” school for very “long”. Not really that “attractive” a candidate once you take out football. At least according to Power 5 teams.
I've watched many more Boise St. games than BYU games over the last 20 years.BYU brings the viewership. Boise is no where near in that regard.
Honestly, with over 17,000,000 people who identify themselves as LDS, there doesn’t need to be any viewership outside that group. They also are spread all over the country as opposed to the Boise fans who are pretty localized to the area.I've watched many more Boise St. games than BYU games over the last 20 years.
Boise has had enough success that they're somewhat of an established brand.
Okay, BYU brings in the LDS viewers. But who outside of the LDS viewers cares to watch a BYU game? I've watched plenty of Boise games.
Derpity derp derp derp…Looking back it these additions dont make sense for Big 12. I think adding UCF is a mistake. Nobody really cares about BYU. Big 12 should've added Memphis, UNLV, Boise St, Houston
Yep alot of people salivating about UNLV football. Their football history is worse than ours.Looking back it these additions dont make sense for Big 12. I think adding UCF is a mistake. Nobody really cares about BYU. Big 12 should've added Memphis, UNLV, Boise St, Houston
