I wonder what type of crowd we get tomorrow. It is a big game that could help us for tournament standings

Bad Bunny concert on Friday was announced before the Miners schedule. I would guess there was no way for Marshall to play here on Saturday so they had it played on Sunday. Why UTEP wasn’t sent on the road this weekend not sure.

Excuse my ignorance, why is this game on Sunday? Super Bowl Sunday at that?
Bad Bunny played on Friday. The crew needs to tear down the set to get the court ready for Marshall to practice and have a shoot around on the court the day before the game (Saturday). This is why the game is on Sunday.

It can't be Monday because Tyler the Creator is playing the Don on Monday and the team is going on the road this week.

Well, the women are playing at Marshall tomorrow so either way there was going to be a game at the Don Haskins Center

Are we sure it was scheduled on Super Bowl Sunday to be the national lead in for TV purposes? With special commercials as well.

Great idea, maybe the people of El Paso should vote on it. Hear there’s a location Downtown that would work.

I think it will be about 4000. About 800 less than the last home game but not the lowest crowd of the year (3700 vs LT)

Yep, Bad Bunny concert. These concerts are inked in early and the DHC is not going to say “well, um….there is a basketball game?!”. This is big cash and the DHC has to compete with Las Cruces, Albuquerque, and Tucson to get these top acts for this region and Bad Bunny knows he is huge in El Paso. “Latin Trap” hip-hop/rap is extremely popular in El Paso with smaller acts headlining smaller venues. If you read the fish wrap yesterday his concert attracted fans from hundreds of miles.

UTEP favored by 6... if we can score in the 70s we win ... defense still a work in progress and need KK for sure.
need to go uptempo against Marshall for a 75 to 65 win. this game will be better than the super bowl and the Rams win that game going away by 21 pts.

We must play with 2 rim defenders if 1 is always going to be double teaming out front of the 3pt line

Miners looking ok. Turnovers still the Achilles heel. Defensive rebounding too.

Bieniemy looking really good on both sides of the floor. Doing what we gotta do so far. Would be nice to not have this one in question so deep into the game. Put em away.

I like Onyema in the dunker's position. Yes we have to take care of the ball better. Just cut out the unforced turnovers. I don't mind a few turnovers on cuts.

Interesting that Boum has spent a few minutes on the bench today.

I hope this isn't one of our annual wtf losses. With UAB's loss second place is within reach.
