Might not be the worst thing in the world.
I think he’s done. It wouldn’t surprise me if he came back next year, but it would be tragic if he did.
I just hope whatever happens … happens fast
Started following this on the radio when we were down 3, listened to Liberty build a 10 point halftime lead. I was worried that we were in trouble then. I'm upset about how right I was. Damn do we suck
UTEP is showing everyone why they are the 8th best team in the league.
Almost every “sharp” shooter UTEP has brought in since the Floyd era, has turned out to be fvckn duds.

Nobody has confidence in Golding after the way this season fell apart. The players aren't playing as a team; they play awful defense, giving up 50% shooting multiple times.

Yeah. I believe that kind of optimism is born out of hope more than anything. I don’t fault anybody for hanging onto hope.
Hebb may just be the most un athletic Miner guard I’ve ever witnessed.
He needs to be gone. I don’t trust Senter to do his job though.

Can’t believe we’re getting NMSU’d in the conference tournament. Absolutely ridiculous and if Senter cares at all about the program, we need a new coach.
I think Bronzing finishes out his contract and there is a big fundraiser to get a better coach for the MWC
Naw. You can already tell by the lack of recruiting news that it doesn’t work for lame duck coaches.

Joe and Jim (dumb and dumber) should both be fired tomorrow morning. Both have done an awful job.
Probably Golding's fault for keeping him around for too long.
There was that poster who said Golding's extension has already been signed and is just awaiting UT approval. If that is true, I hope they withhold their approval.
I saw that. I hope to HE(double hockey sticks) that he was just spouting some bs. I would NOT be surprised if he turns out to be right though.
Just like the every year since 2010 (15 years!), we are not participating in the NCAA tournament. At this point we not a basketball school anymore and haven't been for a while. 11 classes of UTEP seniors have gone through 4 years of bad basketball. Our fan base is slowly dying out because we aren't creating new fans. We are a bottom feeder and were somehow lucky to get out of CUSA despite being bad at revenue sports athletics. Our coaches have been terrible and we have an even worse administration that allows these things to happen.
Thank you and good luck to the seniors that have been with us for the past couple of years. I don't think we will have a whole lot of continuity this year. This was supposed to be the year. Instead we started off the season with a 15-5 record then only won 3 games afterwards.
Golding will be back next year (according to the rumors on here) and have to rebuild. He's proven that he's not a great recruiter. He doesn't understand rotations. He's not great at coaching offense or defense, yet he is getting an extension. 2 players that started this season on the team were removed from the roster before the season concluded. This is why we have had 11 senior classes at UTEP not see us play in the tournament. We are in a vicious cycle of stupidity while our administration continues to cash checks and make bad decisions.
Much respect to all of you, my fellow UTEP fans that have stuck with this crap for so long. We deserve better. UTEP doesn't deserve us as fans.

I will pull the donations i make to the program and definitely will not buy tickets until UTEP does the correct thing. It's asinine to retain Golding after butchering a 15-5 start.. and being overall just awful over the last 3 seasons.
There's no way they can announce an extension for Golding the way this season ended. Is it possible he could come back on a lame duck contract? Sure and it would be a waste of a year for everybody . But even Senter wouldn't try selling an extension right now.
Amazing that Golding’s contract extension is even a remote possibility!!! What a shit hole of an athletic department. If Golding is provided with an extension UTEP would be deserving of a fan boycott.
Exactly. Anybody that thinks that Golding is getting an extension is out of their minds. Lame duck contract is possible, but I hope we have new management next year.
I don’t think anyone blindly believes it as absolute truth. But nor do many people think it’s beyond Senter to do such a thing. It is a possibility.
