Egad. Who's got the patience for a roadie like that?

My most recent bus trip of any length was the UTEP team charter from Laramie to Casper. We lost to Wyoming, 37-9, then got snowed in at Laramie. First week of October, 1969, it was snowing sideways. Many of our players from Arizona and Houston area had never seen snow.

On the sidelines, the snow was sticking to the north side of Coach Bobby Dobbs' head. We led at half 9-7, a fact forgotten when Dobbs made this fiery halftime speech, threw open the locker room door for the second half -- and nobody moved.

Anyone making the short drive down IH-10, the SA UTEP Alumni Network will be hosting our third UTEP/UTSA tailgate at a place called the Cherrity Bar (https://cherritybar.com/). It's an open patio restaurant that's right across the street from the Alamo Dome.

We will have former Power 102 DJ Frankie D providing the music and a few VIPs will be attending.
