Yes, after Floyd leaves, otherwise it wouldn't be a good idea to get blown up at home.
He wants a new challenge. Thought a rebuild at UTEP would provide him one helluva challenge. No...really!
He was checking out Jared Vanderbilt, but as Utep2Step stated, Vanderbilt's team got blown out.
Never cared for or respected Roy Williams since he didn't give the UTEP Sweet Sixteen team any credit for beating his Kansas Jayhawks in 1992.
He got beat...and humbled by a coach whom was just better than him at the time. I bet he'd admit to that today.
He admitted getting out coached by Haskins in that round of 32 game, after Haskins went box and 1 on him. I remember clearly him admitting that.
I on the other hand have always respected Roy Williams since then...and that was way back in 92.
EDIT: Buzz posting at 3:30 a.m., I tend to be a little inaccurate at times. Went back and read my post this afternoon. It wasn't a box and 1 Haskins went to, it was a 4 corners offense. Just couldn't leave that as it was. OK, carry on.
