OT: Jax St-Gamecocks football-intel

We'll see, they sound pretty confident. However no one knows how they'll do stepping up in competition and depth of FBS. On paper UTEP is more talented top to bottom. With that said they probably stack up with their starting offense and maybe a little better even. We have them on Defense and depth. Should be a good game. Early prediction
UTEP 31
Jacksonville St 27

Me too. I wanted someone like Rodriguez instead of Dimel. Both were available. Coaching will be the difference in this game. Rodriguez will coach up his team. Dimel will be afraid and lose.
If we run the football effectively and our secondary doesn't allow quick strikes, we can win. Unfortunately Dimel will probably put the ball in Hardisons hands one too many times. The secondary was bad last season and utep lost a couple guys, so it could potentially be worse.

This season will be our best chance to beat them. They seem to have high expectations from their athletics programs mixed in with a commitment to improving their facilities. It’s just a matter of time before they leave UTEP in the dust.
Jacksonville State’s ceiling would be the Sun Belt. If El Paso is an undesirable market, theirs is even worse.

I think you’re right BUT they look like they’re showing some ambition and I can’t think of any schools we have left in the dust. The problem is we’re so consistently bad that mediocre schools are more appealing come conference realigment. So all they have to do is suck less than UTEP and that’s not hard to do.

Yes, but a lot of the mediocre schools are located in urban areas. Jax St is not

Not quite in the Eastern Time Zone.

They also have a walking trail and a river. It's a natural river but Students are able to rent kayaks and stuff like that. I've been saying Utep needs a lazy river or some kind of outdoor sports activities for students.
